  2. What this line up of photos shows is that the worst thing you can do at the Oscars is grandstand for a cause (Jane Fonda) or be a total drama queen (Joan Crawford, accepting from bed) and that the best thing is to just be happy and graciously accept your major award.

  5. Not sure what Jennythenipper is referring to. Jane Fonda never mentioned any cause when accepting her Oscar for Klute. In fact mentioned that it wasn't the time or place to say anything but thank you.
